Meet the Maker
Circle S Custom Leather began with a marriage of two names and two lives, woven together into a single symbol with a deep sense of meaning and purpose. The "S" comes from the shared letters of my last name, Sam, and my wife's maiden name, Shurley, reflecting how two families and histories meet in one new story. Surrounding that S is a circle, chosen not just as a design element, but as a powerful representation of our union and the values we both carry.
The circle stands for our bond as a couple, a visual reminder that our partnership has no beginning and no end- only continuity, commitment, and shared direction. It also reflects the harmonic balance we see in nature: the way seasons turn, the sun and moon follow their paths, and renewal. In this way, the Circle S is more than a logo; it is a statement that our work honors both craft and creation, relationship and responsibility.
At the same time, the circle represents the path of life, often called the circle of life. It acknowledges that our journey is not a straight line, but a looping trail of learning, challenge, and growth. Each piece we create under the Circle S name carries a part of that story- of family roots, of two names joined into one, and of the belief that our business should reflect who we are and what we stand for.
